First of all, whenever I've considered pregnancy cravings, I've always thought about the movies or TV commercials - the woman demanding something she can't live without and the man rushing around trying to find it for her. Nick has already said I had better plan my cravings since he won't be making any midnight runs to the grocery store or McDonald's, so I guess I've been lucky so far. :)
As far as foods I absolutely can't live without or can't stop thinking about, there's really only been on instance of it happening. One week right around Christmas (so it was still pretty early on), one of the girls at work stopped & got Sonic for breakfast & walked in at 9:00 with a drink & bag of food. Immediately when I saw the bag, all I could think about was Sonic Cheddar Bites. I think my mouth even watered. All morning long, all I could think about was Sonic Cheddar Bites, and I told myself I had to wait until at least 11:00 before I could go get them. Not a minute after 11:00, I was headed out to my car so I could get to Sonic to get my Cheddar Bites, and I have to tell you, at that point, those were the best things I'd ever eaten. I haven't eaten them since, and nothing has had me thinking about nothing else like that one time.
Tonight while I was cooking dinner I realized I've made the same Hamburger Helper at least once a week for the past month. Then I realized that if I had a choice, I could probably eat nothing but grilled cheese and Boston Market's mac & cheese and be completely happy. And cheddar cheese sticks. And Sonic Cheddar Bites. And pretty much anything that combines pasta & cheese.
So, I guess I am having a few cravings, but other than that first need for Cheddar Bites, thankfully nothing I can't live without.
Until next time...
I don't remember having any cravings...the first time, I think a lot of the time I didn't feel hungry most of the time, even at meals. I like made myself eat Boston Market for lunch at work, just so I'd have a whole plate of food to finish! I don't know, it's sort of hazy...I don't remember a lot during the pregnancies because I was sleeping a lot, and then when the babies came I didn't really sleep at all for the first year (not to scare you, lol).
