I think the biggest change was between one months & two, but it's hard to believe how much he's grown!
Coop weighed 16lbs 12 ozs at his four month check up just before Christmas & was 27 inches long. He's actually wearing 6-9 month sleepers, although they are just a little bit long on him still. Some of his 3-6 month onesies still fit him, but they're getting a bit short & snug. The 6-9 month ones fit much better.
Everything goes in his mouth these days - fingers, burp rags, toys, the feet of his sleepers - everything! He even tries to get his feet into his mouth when he doesn't have any pants or socks on.
I know I have yet to share Thanksgiving photos, I promise I'll get to that soon! :) I actually didn't take any pictures over Christmas, I'm such a terrible mama! But he basically slept through it all anyways, since he's going to bed around 6:00 these days.
Raven was going after the drool hanging from Coop's mouth
One big, exciting development is Nap Time! I talked to one of the other mom's at Group a couple weeks about what she does with her little girl who is just a month or two older than Coop. Since then, I've been putting him down for a nap a couple times a day, without feeding him first, and he's had a few days when he's taken two 2-hour naps! Other days it's only been 15-30 minutes, and some days he won't go down without eating first, but it's all a step in the right direction. Since then, he's also been doing better sleeping at night as well, even sleeping 11 hours in one stretch one night! I'm enjoying only getting up with him just once during the night. Before we went out of town for Christmas he was consistently going to bed around 6:00 & not getting up until 3:00 or 4:00 for about a week straight, but since we got back he's back to getting up 2-3 times a night. I think his routine got a bit screwed up, but he seems to be getting back into the swing of things now.
At his four month check up, the doctor said we could start rice cereal any time. She said he doesn't specifically need other foods yet, that his primary diet should still just be milk & cereal, but we can give him some foods if we would like. She also recommended giving him some prunes since we were having some issues (a week without a dirty diaper!), so his first food was officially prunes! He did pretty good with them, & didn't seem to hate them too much. I've been giving him cereal for a few days now & he's doing better with them every day. Still not eating a ton, but a bit more each day. Today I did mix in just a bit of the prunes since we still have some, & he seemed to like it.
I swear, we did not feed him BBQ sauce! :)
